Meet Dr. Amanda Thalji-Raitano

Licensed Psychologist, Colorado PSY 0006785 and Florida PY9857
My name is Dr. Raitano. Helping individuals and families is a passion of mine. I am a Licensed Psychologist with over a decade of experience supporting children, teens, and adults. My mission is to help people navigate life’s challenges with science-backed strategies, compassion, and hope.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida and my Doctorate in School Psychology, with a specialization in Mental Health, from the University of South Florida. Over the years, I’ve worked in private practice, schools, and a federal residential training program. I’ve also supported future psychologists as an assistant professor of instruction and clinical supervisor at the University of South Florida.

I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients during life's most demanding times. In therapy, I serve as a partner, mentor, and advocate, helping clients disentangle themselves from difficult thoughts, change unhelpful behaviors, and increase their overall satisfaction in life. In addition to therapy, I also provide comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, teens, and adults, including assessments for ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, intellectual giftedness, as well as complex emotional and behavioral concerns.

I provide a safe, compassionate space where clients can feel heard and supported as they work toward their goals. My approach is grounded in proven, research-based methods, but flexible and tailored to each client’s needs. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). As an EMDRIA-approved EMDR therapist, I specialize in helping clients process trauma and reclaim their sense of peace.

I have extensive experience helping individuals with:
-
Anxiety disorders
-
Depression and bipolar disorder
-
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
-
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
-
Grief
-
Self-harm behaviors
-
Coping with major life transitions

If you’re looking for an experienced mental health provider who combines evidence-based strategies with warmth, empathy, and accountability, I would be honored to work with you. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I look forward to learning more about your story.

My aim is to provide clients with an environment that fosters feelings of safety, respect, and support.
